Extremismusprävention macht Schule
Interface Wien brings six balanced workshops on primary extremism and violence prevention to Viennese schools and training centers*.
The workshops are low-threshold, practice-oriented and can be booked free of charge for individual school classes or courses. Details on online booking can be found at the bottom of the page.
The I in the WE – Individual and society in interaction
The 3-part workshop series "The I in the WE" is dedicated to the multidimensionally linked topics of prejudice, identity, culture, conflict and emotion. Through interactive exercise settings, the students/participants become aware of the complexity of the topic, which can reduce the associated tensions in the class community. Each part of the workshop series can also be booked separately. (From 5th grade)

The I in the WE #2 Culture and identity in interplay
The I in the WE #3 Preventing extremism by strengthening one’s own ability to reflect and engage in dialogue
Extremism, radicalisation and democratic society
The workshop explains different forms of extremism and explains how and why radicalization and extremism can pose a threat to democracy. The focus is primarily on right-wing extremism and Islamism.

Breaking gender stereotypes: preventing violence through gender sensitivity
The aim of this workshop is to create awareness of the diversity of gender roles and relationship forms. Among other things, images of masculinity that are prone to violence and patriarchal social structures are questioned in order to create the basis for a healthy, fulfilling relationship life for the students.

Forms of violence – ways of non-violence
The focus of this workshop is to raise awareness of the many faces of violence. In addition, non-violent methods and action concepts are presented and tested, and possibilities for activating one's own power to act are explored.
