Summer is coming – and our planning is in full swing: Registration for the Vienna Summer German courses for exceptional Viennese students begins on April 29th at 9 a.m.!

City of Vienna strengthens German language support for children and young people – Interface Vienna is involved

Registration for Sommercollege starts

Summer is coming! And to coincide with the summer temperatures, registration is now open for our new free Sommercollege courses for all newly arrived secondary school students!
As part of the Jugendcollege StartWien project, the Sommercollege offers Viennese secondary school students the opportunity to brush up their German for school during the summer holidays.

Insight into our projects: I am at home in Vienna

An art project shows young people from our Basisbildung courses discovering their new city and photographs them with a clear statement for their new home. In and around the Wienmuseum, the participants discover all sorts of interesting, beautiful and curious things and pose in front of them with a large “I am at home in Vienna!” sign. The resulting images reflect the diversity of Vienna, tell stories and give integration a face.

A good book for the next rainy day? One where the sun really rises in your heart? That makes you think and still makes you smile? Look no further – here it is! Under the title „Schriftlos heißt nicht sprachlos – Kaleidoskop der Worte: Spiegelungen, bunte Bilder und vielfältige Perspektiven“ , the Zentrale Beratungsstelle für Basisbildung und Alphabetisierung is publishing new reading material and thus offering basic education learners the big stage.

Interface Wien at International Women's Day in the open town hall

“Ladies first!” was the motto on Friday afternoon when the gates of Vienna City Hall opened. Under the motto “Vienna, as she wants”, the City of Vienna invited people to the town hall on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8th to discover special offers for girls and women. We from Interface Wien were also there!

Youth College StartWien: New rotation, free places

Learn German and at the same time optimally prepare for school or training? This has been part of our Jugendcollege (Youth College) project for a long time! A new cycle started again at the beginning of February - and there are still places left!

The new internal project “Empowerment for girls in IT and technology – gender-sensitive career orientation and placement” aims to inspire girls and young women for technical careers and thus open up an area with enormous future career opportunities for them.
