New year – new name! Jugendcollege becomes StartWien College
With the stroke of the clock on New Year's Day, our youth project Jugendcollege StartWien is changing its name and will become StartWien College on January 1st of 2025. The name will change - but the program and quality will remain the same.

“Gemma!” is not only colloquial for the standard German “Let’s go!” but also the abbreviation for “Healthy with MALVA” – the brand new health initiative of our project MALVA – Startbegleitung für Geflüchtete aus der Ukraine.

With the new school year, a new round of our Lernhilfe courses started at five polytechnic and vocational secondary school locations in Vienna. New: Lernhilfe Alpha courses - literacy courses for non-regular students.
Youngsters at ATP tennis tournament
“Experience tennis like never before!” – this slogan was the motto for 9 young people from our InterSpace basic education program at the ATP tournament on October 21st! A free ticket donation from Verein Springboard enabled the young people to immerse themselves in the world of tennis.

Redesign of course and childcare rooms
Everything is new! Our basic education program Mama lernt Deutsch is starting the new semester with renewed freshness. And it's not just the courses that are new - the course and childcare rooms have also been newly equipped and designed!
Interface Wien is running! At the 7th LebensLauf of the Asylkoordination Österreich
Running for a good cause? Yes! Again and again! For 7 years now, it has been the running event of the year for our Interface running team: the LebensLauf of the Asylkoordination Österreich, a charity run for an open refugee policy.

"The StartWien Hub is the new education and advice hub of the city of Vienna in the 20th district. What is special about it is the holistic support it provides to newly immigrated families. They receive comprehensive education, advice and information services in one place that will help them to successfully gain a foothold in Vienna in the first few months after their arrival."
Swimming course for girls
Learn to swim! What is so normal for some people in childhood remains just a wish for others well into adulthood. But sometimes wishes come true! The Verein Springboard fulfilled this wish for 8 young women from our basic education project InterSpace.
