Vice Mayor Wiederkehr visits our Sommerdeutschkurse
As always, there is learning, laughing and playing - only today there is an important guest! Both the young participants and the guest himself are friendly, open and interested, thus ensuring a good atmosphere during the summer visit of the Vice Mayor Christoph Wiederkehr to our Sommerdeutschkurse.
As announced in April, the City of Vienna strengthens German language support for children and young people and, as part of this, the Sommerdeutschkurse were expanded. During a visit, the vice mayor got a first-hand look at the literacy courses: "The expansion of the summer German courses as part of the Wiener Sommerlernen program ensures that children and young people have a better start in life. More equal opportunities are only possible if we strengthen language skills. German is an absolute prerequisite for success in school, in the workplace and for social participation and thus for successful integration," said Wiederkehr.
