Film premiere: “My head – my headscarf – my decision”
From their everyday experiences with racism, rejection and pressure and the desire to talk about it, young participants of the program InterSpace – Basisbildung für Jugendliche with the support of Beratungsstelle Extremismus created the participatory girls* project “My head – my headscarf – my decision“ and a short film of the same name that will premiere in June!
The young women were able to participate in the film project through the Children and Youth Million of the City of Vienna and thus shed light on different challenges they face on a daily basis.
On June 4, 2024 at 3 p.m., the resulting short film will be shown for the first time in the Urania - anyone interested is cordially invited! Visitors can expect an exciting supporting program with a keynote and panel discussion. Click here for more detailed information and registration for the event!
