Empowerment for girls in IT and technology
Why doesn’t anyone here want to become an electrical engineer?…
Women and girls are greatly underrepresented in technical professions in Austria - this is also reflected in the career aspirations of many participants in our youth education project Jugendcollege StartWien.
The new internal project “Empowerment for girls in IT and technology – gender-sensitive career orientation and placement” therefore wants to inspire girls and young women for technical careers and thus open up an area with enormous future career opportunities for them.
The goal is to create awareness, showcase role models, and stimulate interest in girls and young women to try something new, thereby expanding their range of possibilities.
