New year – new name! Jugendcollege becomes StartWien College

With the stroke of the clock on New Year's Day, our youth project Jugendcollege StartWien changes its name and on January 1st of 2025 becomes the StartWien College.

In order to position our long-standing, successful offer appropriately in the Viennese project landscape and to be able to broaden it for the future, the name is now changing - but the program and quality remain the same: Newly immigrated young people and young adults will continue to find a good place here to settle in and get ahead in Vienna. We support them in learning German, brushing up on school knowledge, looking for their desired career and the right place for them in a secondary school or an apprenticeship. The StartWien College team is also committed to ensuring that all young people settle in and get ahead in Vienna and can be successful here.

From February 1st of 2025, the StartWien College will also work with the Arbeitsmarktservice Wien (Vienna Public Employment Service). This means that young people and young adults registered with the AMS will also be able to take part in the StartWien College.
